The Best Bras for Large Busts
Past an F cup, the market splits into ranges that grade upward from a mainstream block and ranges engineered for depth from the first stitch. The second kind is where good fit lives, and the UK houses dominate it for a structural reason: their letter ladder was built to grade these volumes honestly.
Choosing by construction
Seamed cups, wide firm bands, cushioned straps and side-support panels are not premium extras at this depth; they are the load-bearing structure.
Prefer brands that carry your size well inside their chart. Our size guides badge exactly that, because a size at a range edge is cut from a block graded for the middle.
US letters become ambiguous past DDD; one brand's F is another's DDD or G. Every conversion on this site is by chart position, and the interactive brand charts show each label.
Brands to look at
| Brand | Why they are on this list | Charted size span |
|---|---|---|
| Panache | D through K on 28 to 46; deep-cup engineering is the entire brand | 28–46, D–K (UK) · chart |
| Elomi | Full-figure full-bust: bands to 48 with deep letters | 34–48, DD–K (UK) · chart |
| Bravissimo | Full-bust retailer-brand with fit-first philosophy we document, including their anti-chart fitting stance | 28–40, D–K (UK) · chart |
| Freya | Fashion-forward full-bust on the UK ladder | 28–40, B–K (UK) · chart |
| Fantasie | Classic UK full-bust construction | 30–44, D–K (UK) · chart |
| Empreinte | French couture that starts at a C cup and simply does not make shallow sizes | 80–110, C–H (FR) · chart |
| Curvy Kate | UK full-bust with strapless and swim depth | 28–44, D–K (UK) · chart |
Every brand here is one whose published sizing and construction we document; the reason column states what our dossier records, not sponsorship. Size spans come from each brand's own chart.

F cup and beyond, answered
Why do UK brands keep coming up?
Because the UK cup ladder grades one honest step at a time past D, and the houses that use it engineered their blocks for depth rather than grading a shallow block upward.
Is my US letter the same everywhere?
No. Past DDD the alphabets diverge and brands differ; convert by position. The interactive charts on every brand page show each brand's own label for your volume.
What should a supportive bra feel like at this size?
A firm, level band doing most of the work, weight off the shoulders, wire flat against the ribcage. Pain is a fit failure, not the price of size.
