Lively Bra Sizes, Decoded
Stretch-first DTC turned mass brand, with combined sizes that skip a standalone M. Everything below is drawn from the brand’s own published guidance and retail listings, checked August 2026, with every carried size linked to its guide.
Lively in numbers
Lively sells two grids: alpha-sized bralettes and soft bras that skip a standalone medium (S, M/L pairs by cup group), and a wired range in a compact band-and-cup grid, 32 to 38 in A to DDD by current retail listings. Support in the alpha styles comes from stretch; the wired styles fit the measured size and the sizing story is knowing which grid you are buying.
Your measured size in Lively
How this is computed: your US size read straight onto the US label, then adjusted for how Lively typically grades: true bands, true cups.
Where Lively sits on the size grid
Cups A–DDD in the wired grid; the alpha bralettes fit the ribcage rather than the cup.
Best for:
- Unlined bras in a full range
- Minimal aesthetic
- Wearers who want the cup to fit exactly, without foam

Lively built its name on "leisurée": bra-bralette hybrids in stretch fabrics, sold DTC and now widely at Target under the All.You LIVELY label. Wired and structured styles run a compact band-and-cup grid, 32 to 38 in A to DDD territory by current retail listings. Stretch styles run the brand’s combined sizing: paired letters and numbered sizes that each cover a band-and-cup range, such as a Size 1 covering 32 to 34 in D to DDD on one listed style: one garment, several traditional sizes, which is the alpha compression story our alpha guide tells, in its most explicit form.
Lively labels in US notation. Rows are bands; columns are cup letters exactly as the brand writes them. Each linked cell opens that size’s guide.
| Band | A | B | C | D | DD | DDD |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 32 | 32A | 32B | 32C | 32D | 32DD | 32DDD |
| 34 | 34A | 34B | 34C | 34D | 34DD | 34DDD |
| 36 | 36A | 36B | 36C | 36D | 36DD | 36DDD |
| 38 | 38A | 38B | 38C | 38D | 38DD | 38DDD |
Watch for: The combined sizes are honest about being ranges, which is more than most alpha sizing manages: a label reading 32–34 D–DDD tells you exactly which bodies it averaged. Buy the range whose middle you occupy, not merely one that includes you at its edge.
Does Lively run small or big?
Lively bands run true to size across US bands 32–38: start with your measured band on the loosest hook, and expect it to feel snug for the first week if you are coming from an add-inches size.
Lively cups grade true to the measured difference from A to DDD: a gap or overflow in the measured letter is a shape signal, so change the cut before the size.
Lively wires run narrow: good for projected, narrow-root shapes; wide roots may find them digging at the side. Straps: Slim, adjustable.

Lively sizing: answered
What sizes does Lively make?
Structured styles run bands 32 to 38 in roughly A to DDD by current listings; stretch styles use combined sizes, letters or numbers that each cover a stated band-and-cup range printed on the product.
Why is there no medium in some Lively styles?
The brand sells combined steps such as XS/S and M/L rather than a standalone M in those lines: a documented choice we cover in our alpha sizing guide, where one letter’s range is the whole story.
Is Lively supportive enough for larger cups?
The stretch hybrids are engineered for comfort-first wear, and the grid stops around a 38 band and DDD cup. At fuller volumes, treat Lively as the weekend drawer and look to structured ranges for the working week.
